is this a detox or a yoga retreat?

This retreat can be whatever you want it to be! You get to choose the activities, length of retreat, and more. Some people may experience a detox depending on your current diet. But there is no deprivation on this retreat! It’s great for anyone already vegan or want to dip their toes in and experience a healthier vacation option.

Your Vegan Experience starts at $545 depending on number of days and activities! Your experience is fully customizable. You want tons of daily activities, you can have them! Want a chill time with one yoga or fitness class per day, no problem! Not really into yoga, but would really love guidance on cooking healthful and learning all my tricks in the kitchen, YOU GOT IT!

Natali Podner is a physiotherapist and yoga instructor. After finishing medical school, she worked in a hospital for one year. Afterwards, she opened her own studio for massage, body care, and recreation. Through the years, Natali attended schools for body care, and specialized in individual medical and Tui Na massage therapy. Natali is now a certified yoga instructor of Ashtanga, Power and Vinyasa flow style, and is currently learning new styles as well. 

Marin G Vayu was born and raised in Rovinj, Croatia, and has been in the world of yoga for 15 years. He has visited India many times, practicing a variety of different styles of yoga with many different teachers. His other passions include windsurfing, which he taught for several years, and drumming, which he learned to play in Africa. His life has always been centered around teaching people; first windsurfing, then drumming, and later yoga. 

Croatia is one of the hottest destinations and for good reason. It sits on the Adriatic coast and houses more than a thousand islands. The crystal water is perfect for swimming and snorkeling with July’s temperature reaching 75-80 degrees F. Rovinj receives more than 12 hours of sunshine per day in July so people flock here in the summer! 

Rovinj, one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia and we will be hosted at the Five Elements Guesthouse. It’s rustic, with the perfect amount of charm. It’s situated in a quiet neighborhood located between the center of town and Rovinj’s beaches. There are cozy bedrooms, fully equipped apartments, a yoga studio, as well as a garden terrace with a common kitchen and dining area.

We have a number of exciting excursions and activities you can add onto your experience. When filling out the registration form select everything you want to do. Everyone can join, no matter age, physical condition, or previous experience.

– 3 months or more prior to experience: Your entire payment will be refunded minus the non-refundable $350 deposit and a $50 administration fee if you cancel.
Payments are not refundable at anytime 3 months before your retreat for any reason including but not limited to bad weather, illness, medical, personal or family emergencies, job/work related emergencies, natural disasters, acts of terrorism, flight delays or cancellations, change of mind or no-shows. Please get travel insurance in case of any of these emergencies (and purchase “cancel for any reason” addition).
– In the unlikely event that WE must cancel the retreat everything paid to us by you, including the deposit, will be refunded. We however can not be responsible for flights, time off, or any other expense which is why travel insurance is a great idea and mandatory.

Travel Insurance is Mandatory!

This not only protects you and your safety abroad, it protects you in case of any last minute changes, unexpected events, or emergencies. You may not hold Christy, tour guides, or anyone at the condo liable for injury and you waive right to any claims or liabilities you may incur during the retreat. You must have a valid passport that doesn’t expire for at least 6 months prior to the trip. Please check with your home country to make sure you may enter each country with a travel visa. This website is very helpful.

Yoga and fitness classes are for all levels, whether you are just starting or a seasoned practitioner. Since this is a personalized retreat, the classes will be built around your needs and desires. You can have as many or as little activity as you would like. You will get hands-on adjustment and basically will have a private yoga teacher and personal trainer at your disposal during your retreat!

All yoga & fitness equipment will be provided so you don’t need to bring your mat unless you really want to. There is no serious trekking during the trip (unless you choose to do it!) but you should be physically fit and able to walk stairs, & cobbled streets comfortably depending on the activities you choose. Bring comfortable walking shoes and fitness trainers/sneakers for the fitness classes, hiking, biking, etc. If there is a beach trip or watersports bring appropriate swimwear and sarong or beach towel. Sunscreen is also crucial!

Clothing – Be sure to bring appropriate clothing for the weather and time of year. Days are warm 70-80F during the day and drop to 70F at night. There is no air conditioning in most places or the guesthouse. For shoes bring comfortable walking/hiking shoes/fitness trainers, thongs or sandals, and water shoes if you have them. A hat, visor, or bandana is advisable. Comfortable clothing for walking, and fitness clothing for yoga, biking, and hiking is recommended. We recommend swimwear or something you don’t mind getting wet for kayaking and windsurfing.

Other – all your necessities/toiletries, sunscreen, alarm clock, plug adapters, mini flashlight, day pack, and anything else you need!

By Plane – Fly into Pula (PUY) – 40 kilometers from Rovinj. This is a small airport but it has some direct flight from around Europe. From Pula Airport (PUY) you can go to Pula city bus station and then take a bus to Rovinj (30 minutes). Or for a bit more expensive option take a taxi direct to the guesthouse.


Take bus service from airports Rijeka (Croatia), Zagreb (Croatia), Trieste (Italy), or Ljubljana (Slovenia) to get to Rovinj. It will take 2-4 hours by bus. Then taxi to guesthouse


Arrival by ferry / boat
The best way to come to Rovinj is by ferry from Venice. The ferry comes direct to Rovinj harbor. Five Elements Retreats will come to pick you up at harbor.
